“Quanticon” 5-HIAA(5-Hydroxyindoleacetic Acid) ELISA Kit

Principle

This assay is based on the competitive binding technique. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with 5-HIAA. During the reaction, 5-HIAA in samples or Standard competes with a fixed amount of 5-HIAA on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to 5-HIAA. Following a wash to remove excess conjugate and unbound sample. Then Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) are added to each microplate well and incubated. Substrate solution is added to the wells. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450±3nm. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the concentration of 5-HIAA in the sample.

Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level were tested on 3 different plates, 20 replicates in each plate, respectively.

Inter-Assay: CV<8%
