Quanticon™ Direct Bilirubin (DBIL) Colorimetric Assay Kit

Quanticon™ Direct Bilirubin (DBIL) Colorimetric Assay Kit
Quanticon™ Direct Bilirubin (DBIL) Colorimetric Assay Kit
Principle of the Procedure
Direct bilirubin (DBil), also known as conjugated bilirubin, It is produced by indirect bilirubin entering the liver and binding with glucuronic acid by the action of Glucuronyl transferase. The increase of direct bilirubin has great significance in the clinical diagnosis of obstructive jaundice, hepatocellular jaundice, liver cancer, pancreatic head carcinoma, cholelithiasis and cholangiocarcinoma. This Kit provides a convenient tool for detection of DBIL. The principle is that direct bilirubin can be oxidized by sodium nitrite to produce biliverdin. The content of direct bilirubin can be calculated by detecting the change of wavelength at 450nm.
